On February 11, 2023, at about 6:30 pm, there was an attempt to kidnap or kill a small boy near the Highland Meadows neighborhood. This incident was reported on the Ring system.

A concerned citizen saw a Hispanic male, approximately 5’10” and 250 pounds, chasing the boy on Hall Johnson up toward High Point. The concerned citizen turned his vehicle around, got the boy to safety while calling the police, and the attacker fled. The boy said the attacker had a knife.

The attacker, wearing a black coat, white t-shirt, and grey slacks, got into a black four door sedan resembling a Nissan.
